Brookgreen Gardens: Harvest Home Weekend

Oct. 13&14 9:30 am-4:30 pm

It's that time of year for Brookgreen's Harvest Home Weekend! This year's
activites include puppet shows, storytelling, award-winning music by Susana and
Timmy Abell.

There will be plenty of fun fall activities for kids such as hayrides, pumpkin
painting and even scarecrow building. Your kids can even meet animals in the
Zoo as well as a crafts and snake tent.  

For adults, there will be hand woven sweetgrass baskets and pottery. Robert McAllister
will be at Harvest Home Weekend signing copes of 'Wooden Ships on Winyah Bay'.
On Saturday, Sherman Carmichael will be signing copies of 'Legends and Lore of South Carolina' as
well as 'Fogotten Tales of South Carolina'. All of these books. baskets, and pottery
will make great Holiday gifts for anyone in your family!

No matter what your age, the Harvest Home Weekend Festival has something for you.
If you haven't experienced this wonderful fall festival, come down to Brookgreen
Gardens in Murrells Inlet and make it a autumn tradition in your family!
